St. Joseph’s House Catholic Worker

Day of operation: Every Wednesday
Time of operation: 11:30am-12:30pm
Location: 36 East 1st Street (Between 1st and 2nd Avenues)
Requirements: Just show up. No referral needed.
The Church of St. Francis Xavier/The Clothing Room
Days of operation: 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month
Time of operation: 9am-11am (all guests on line by 11am will be admitted)
Location: 46 West 16th Street , East Gate (Between 5th and 6th Avenues)
Requirements : Just show up.
Note: They serve a hot meal called, "Welcome Table" every Sunday 1pm-3pm
Location: 55 West 15th Street (Between 5th and 6th Avenues)
Open every Sunday, a day when most other soup kitchens in NYC are closed, the Welcome Table serves an average of 1,300 hot meals. We strive to go beyond the emergency need of food by also providing our guests with assistance in obtaining government benefits and birth certificates, free chiropractic treatments, legal referrals, health screenings, and other services

Days of operation: Tuesday and Wednesday. Clients are allowed to come only one time per month.
Time of operation: 10am-12pm. They only take in the first 40 clients.
Location: 111th Street and Amsterdam Avenue. Walk up the driveway to the security booth for further instructions.
Casual Clothing Closet: 3 items are given out to clients with a PHOTO ID
Interview Clothing Closet is given out with referral and PHOTO ID by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Appointments are given on Monday and Thursday. RDP can make a referral by emailing Vanessa Greco at vgreco@stjohndivine.org with our guest(s)' sizes so she can make sure to have what they need. Ms Greco will then email RDP back and set up the appointment.
